Fauzia Yasmin

She is the second amongst five sisters. Her three other sisters Farida Yasmin (older), Nilufar Yasmin (younger), and Sabina Yasmin (youngest) are also renowned vocal artists in Bangladesh. The other sister is Dr. Nazma Yasmin (immediate younger), a scholar and academician.

Fauzia Yasmin was married to Mr. Mobarak Hossain Khan, a musicologist, musician (Surbahar Player) and writer, who was the former Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (National Academy of Fine and Performing Arts of Bangladesh). She is the mother of one daughter, Sitarist Professor Reenat Fauzia and two sons, Dr. Tareef Hayat Khan, and Tanim Hayat Khan, all of them are Academicians and Musicians as well.
